Stop scrolling in bed

Halo automatically blocks the apps you can't resist, until you leave your bedroom.

You go to bed to sleep, but end up on your phone. Then you wake up… and reach for it again.

How it works

Halo creates a physical boundary around your space.

1. Place halo in your bedroom
2. Choose the apps and websites you want blocked, or block your entire phone
3. Walk in → distractions blocked until you leave

Customize your schedule anytime.

Physical friction breaks the loop and gives you space for the habits you actually wanted.

Lock mode closes loopholes and prevents uninstalling.

Halo uses Bluetooth to detect when you're inside the boundary.

What changes

You stop losing the night to one last scroll.

Mornings get easier because the feed is not the first thing you reach for.

Your phone can stay in the bedroom.

Frequently asked questions

Does halo block all apps?

No. You choose which apps and websites to block and which ones stay open, so essentials like messages, maps, or work tools are always available.

Are my apps always blocked?

No. Blocks apply only when you’re inside or outside halo’s radius – you decide which. You can also add schedules to make it match your daily routine.

Can I bypass it by turning off Bluetooth?

If Bluetooth is turned off within halo's range, blocking continues. There's also a lock mode that protects against common loopholes. You can prevent uninstalling and make it much harder to bypass limits.

Does halo need batteries?

Halo lasts about 2.5 years on two replaceable half-AA batteries, so you’ll rarely need to think about it.

Can multiple devices use halo?

Yes. Halo pairs with unlimited devices in range – family, roommates, or tablets.

Is halo safe to keep next to my bed?

Yes. Halo emits minimal EMF (electromagnetic fields), far less than an active phone or typical Wi-Fi device. It uses a low-energy version of Bluetooth (BLE), keeping exposure well within safety limits.

Do I have to pay to use halo?

No. You just buy the halo device once. The ScreenZen app you’ll use to set it up is completely free.

Does halo require an account?

Yes, it requires an account to manage the halo device and add other users to it. The core ScreenZen app does not require an account.
